What is Life ?
Islam teaches, the life of this world is nothing but a Test.
Allah SWT says about the life and its purpose in various places in the holy Qur'an, one of those is:
Allah SWT said in the Quran :
We have created man from a mixed sperm-drop to put him to a test... (Qur’an 76 : 2)
It is He who has created death and life to put you to the test... (Qur’an 67 : 2)
The above Ayats of the Quran clearly indicates that the life of this world is nothing but a Test.
The greatest fool is he who, in the duration of his whole life couldn’t realize the purpose of his existence in this world.
